Chemotherapy

Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer metastasis Liver.  She had an emergency colon by-pass surgery back in 2015 and have been on a few different chemo combinations since.  She also had a surgery in April 2018 to remove the main colon tumor and fix some other things.  Now back on chemo to tackle the tumors in the liver.

Oct 2015 – Dx at Stage IV Colon Cancer met Liver
Oct 2015 – Surgery – Laparotomy, intestinal bypass and liver biopsy
Nov 2015 – March 2016 – 5-Fu, Oxaliplatin, Leucovorin
April 2016 – May 2016 – 5-Fu, Leucovorin
May 2016 – Oct 2017 – Avastin, Irinotecan
48 cycles so far
Oct 2017 – Oncology Dr. wants to start my mom on Lonsurf and also suggested Stage I/II clinical trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering
Nov 2017 – SIRT Y90 radiation procedure for the liver tumors
Jan 2018 – Started on Lonsurf pills
April 2018 – 3 cycles on lonsurf pills then had a surgery to remove the appendix, ascending colon, fix hernia and remove MAIN colon tumor.
June 2018 – 1 cycle of lonsurf pills, CT scan shows liver tumors grew a bit. Switching back to infusion chemo: 5-Fu and Avastin
